INTERMOLECULAR FORCES

The intermolecular forces, or in short IMF, are the forces that develop between the molecules of a substance, which are both repulsive and attracting. The interactions between the individual molecules of a substance are mediated by these forces. The intermolecular forces cause most of the chemical and physical properties of matter.
